The Eddie Mae Herron Center would like to invite you to join us January 18, 2014 at 2pm for the Martin Luther King Reenactment Speech.
Mr. Cecil Gibson will be delivering the speech.
Cecil Gibson is a motivational speaker and Minister that holds a Master’s degree in Theology. He works in the North Little Rock School District where he is a GED Instructor. Mr. Gibson is also employed with P.A.R.K (Positive Atmosphere Reaches Kids Ministry in Little Rock, AR where he has the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of youth who are labeled “High Risk.” Mr. Gibson’s belief is that students simply need motivation, cultivation, and inspiration. He believes that every student God sends his way can be successful and a productive citizen.
Mr. Gibson has traveled across Arkansas and many other states including the birthplace of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. speaking to young people and reciting perhaps one of the greatest speeches ever “I Have a Dream” by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. One of his highest honors was being asked to recite Dr. King’s speech at the election night party held in downtown Little Rock by members of the Arkansas General Assembly.
Mr. Gibson is honored to be asked to share God’s gifts, to reach and teach all people, especially those of our great heritage.
