Bill Carroll and Carol Carroll, both of whom are veterans of military service and Herron Center supporters, told of the history of black Americans in U.S. military history from the pre-revolutionary Boston Massacre up to the present, followed by a reading of a lengthy list of African Americans from Randolph County who have served in the military, including Rodney McCarroll and Cory Ruffin who currently server their country in Iraq.
