The annual Juneteenth celebration will be held June 13 & 14 at the Eddie Mae Herron Center. All activities are free to the public! Friday, June 13th starting at 6pm we will have Family Tree by Cindy Robinette, Maurice Blair will be our guest speaker then the Metro Singers from St. Louis Missouri. Mr. and Miss Juneteenth 2014 will be held Saturday, June 14th at 10am at the Eddie Mae Herron Center. Registration fee is $10 with a $5 additional fee for each category of photogenic, prettiest smile, and best dressed. Dress is Red, White, & Blue casual wear. No pageant dresses or make-up. 2013 Juneteenth Celebration

Saturday, June 15th the Eddie Mae Herron Center along with Black River Technical College will host their annual Juneteenth Celebration. Events start at 8am and continue until 6pm. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy the day. Events will be held at the Eddie Mae Herron Center at 1708 Archer Street in Pocahontas.
