Numerous Randolph County residents and Pocahontas school children took part Monday morning in a peaceful march to honor the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Some of the marchers held signs, and many sang spiritual songs as they walked from the old Wal*Mart on Hwy. 62, to the Eddie Mae Herron Center. At the center, a celebration of Dr. King’s life was held with speeches, songs and prayer.
